Helpful Tips Before You Get Started
1- Aim for 20%–40% profits – you should be able to achieve this while remaining competitive with grocery retail rates. It’s then up to you to sell as many as you can. The good news is that 40% of a $90 item is much more than 40% of a $10 item – and most households are prepared to buy meat anyway.
2- Setup a defined selling period. Longer campaigns usually bring in more orders, but shorter cycles are easier to manage especially for bigger and busier teams. Think anywhere from 2–6 weeks.
3- Want to split cases for customers? Yes! The starter package identifies which qualifying product easily lend themselves to a half-case division. Many groups offer a single “tray” or “half-case” option to boost sales at a lower sticker price. Just remember to consolidate all the partial orders into full case increments when you submit your master order.
4- How far are you? We deliver within Calgary and surrounding communities at no extra charge. Other locations may be arranged with customized scheduling and may carry longer-haul transport fees. Discuss this with your Spolumbo’s coordinator BEFORE you launch your campaign.
5- We’ve filtered your offer to include our most popular sausage flavours, plus meatballs, breakfast links, burgers, beef lasagna, jarred marinara sauce, and more.
6- Special diet questions: all ingredient lists and nutritional panels are available on our website, and your fundraising manager can provide you with any extra information you need. Our sausages contain no fillers, no preservatives, and are naturally gluten-free, but some items that are not sausages may contain gluten so be careful not to miss the exceptions.
7- Your group’s coordinator is our point of contact who will sign-off at the time of delivery to confirm order accuracy, but our team will stand by our products and work directly with the end-consumer to resolve any reasonable concerns that are not within your coordinator’s power to prevent or resolve.
