Our Deli, Our Kitchens, Our Homes
In our Italian families everything manifests as food. Love, comfort, tradition, passion, loyalty, talent, entertainment, festivity, mindfulness, conservationism… it’s miles more than just nutrition, it’s a commitment to a complete lifestyle.
We grew up in those kitchens. Before football. Before the Calgary Stampeders. Before anyone imagined a deli in Inglewood would become a community landmark.
During their CFL careers, when the lights were bright and the crowds were loud, our partners carried those legacies with them, and when pro-sports ended, they returned back to the ingrained skills, lessons, and values of their home – inherited over generations – and the families rallied with them as always, in the kitchen. Friends, relatives, parents, all pitching in, and supporting Mamma Spoletini at the helm, making sauces, soups, meatballs, and meatloaf – literally shaping their futures with her own hands, and molding the business to reflect their culture.
Spolumbo’s stands on the foundations forged in those early mornings and those long days. It is a home built on family, quality, and community. These are the reasons people come back.
More than a deli, Spolumbo’s is a place to gather. Spend a few minutes here and you will understand it. It’s a comfortable buzzing noise, among warm, familiar scented air. The sandwiches are stacked high, and laughter seeps from both sides of the counter. Customers that walk in, leave as friends.
Clean Ingredients, Honest Food, Made Right Here in Calgary
Our authentic recipes are distinctly natural, drawing from only fresh whole-muscle meats, clean ingredients, and aromatic spices. Our sausages have been gluten-free from day one, long before that had a name, because meat doesn’t contain wheat until someone decides to pollute it. We believe food should be simple, honest, abundant, and made with pride.
Our 10,000 sq. ft. federally inspected facility sits right behind our deli Dining Room in Inglewood, ensuring consistency, safety, and quality in every batch. Calgary-made, Calgary-loved, and always made with Mamma’s same care, unchanged from the very beginning.
Calgary is our home. This deli is our living room. This city is our extended family. We have enjoyed the loyal support of community halls, sports teams, schools, and other neighbourhood groups and charities from the very beginning. This community has consistently believed in us and welcomed us into the fabric of their daily language. Giving back demonstrates our respect and gratitude for all that warm support that we receive. We’ve been on the scene and involved for decades. Philanthropy feels right and it comes naturally. If a coach, a teacher, a parent, or a volunteer needs a hand, we are there with a gesture of appreciation.
Spolumbo’s donates to over 100 charitable events each year, including 50–70 golf tournaments each season. Furthermore, our formal fundraising program helps countless clubs raise thousands of dollars while also providing healthy, nutritious products to families across the Western plains
